We want to provide our patients with the latest technology in dental treatment. The dental technologies we use the most are the intra-oral camera and digital x-rays.
We use the intra-oral camera to take magnified pictures in the mouth of the teeth and gums. This imagery not only helps us see hidden problems but it also allows us to show the patient these problems on the monitor. With the camera, we can see hidden cracks and decayed areas that are not visible to the naked eye. Often new patients will comment that their last dentist said they had no cavities. With the intra-oral camera they can see why we recommend the dental work we do.
Digital technology allows us to take x-rays with less radiation and allows us to take a series of x-rays much faster. Often during treatment we need to see an x-ray immediately. Digital x-rays allow us to put the image on the screen in just a few seconds. Like with the intra-oral camera, we can magnify the x-ray images on the monitor and show patients the problems that we see.
